Beyond the Individual, LLC has several pre-developed trainings focused on training providers at varying levels in evidence-based behavioral supports and practices.

Introductory or Paraprofessional Level

These trainings are best for teaching basic, applied skills to direct level support staff such as paraprofessionals, respite providers, behavioral techs, and mental health techs.

 

Data Collection: Purpose & Practice

This training teaches staff how to collect continuous (i.e. frequency, duration, IRT, latency), discontinuous (i.e. partial-interval, whole-interval, MTS), and ABC data in the natural environment. 

3 hours: $600 plus applicable travel and materials fees.

The Function of Behavior

This training teaches staff to look at behavior functionally, how to prevent problem behavior in day-to-day life, and how to collect ABC data to assist with functional behavior assessment.

Professional Level

These trainings are best for professional such as teachers, administrators, mental health providers, and behavioral health providers interested in further developing applied skills and conceptual knowledge in the areas of mental and behavioral health and intervention.

Best Practice in FBA and BIP Development

Participants will learn best practices for functional behavior assessment (FBA), the different between functional behavior assessment and functional analysis (FA), and how to use this information to develop a comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) or treatment plan. The training can either be oriented to those working in school settings, home-and-community based settings, or clinic settings.

6 hours: $1200 plus applicable travel and materials fees.

Dual Diagnosis: Assessment, Treatment, & Systems Support

Participants will learn about the prevalence and incidence of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the general population and of mental illness in the IDD population, how to assess mental illness in an IDD population, and evidence-based treatment considerations when treating mental illness in an IDD population.

3 hours: $600 plus applicable travel and materials fees.

Improving Success for Children with Individualized Developmental, Behavioral, and Mental Health Needs in the School Setting

Participants will learn about the prevalence and incidence of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the general population and of mental illness in the IDD population, how to assess mental illness in an IDD population, and evidence-based treatment considerations when treating mental illness in an IDD population.

3 hours: $600 plus applicable travel and materials fees.

Gender Differences in Common Neurodevelopmental Disorders

Participants will learn how attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) may present in both male and female populations and how gender may affect the presentation of these disorders. Behavioral characteristics and indicators that further assessment is warranted will be discussed.

3 hours: $600 plus applicable travel and materials fees.
